GOMYCODE? A whole different way of doing things that pleases and catches the attention of students
My experience as an instructor at GOMYCODE is going very well. The goals and nature of the teaching methodology used here at GOMYCODE suit me perfectly. It's a whole different way of doing things that pleases and holds the attention of the students, and when we have students who are focused on their course, it is a real pleasure for us instructors. They master things faster and better. It's crazy how just rethinking the methodology can yield such impressive results.
A typical day is a busy day but one where the student grows up
A typical day for an instructor comes down to coming to Hackerspace having well prepared the workshops presented to the students. We then do a stand-up, where each student must explain his project and its progress, if he has encountered any blockages, and how we can help him. We also set up activities to create a fun environment for our students, for them to bond with each other and break the ice. Of course, there is the support that is done throughout the day with the students who ask for it. A typical day is a busy day but one where the student grows up.
A reassured and happy student is a student who masters faster and better
My relationship with my students is very cordial. From the first day, I try to make them as comfortable as possible so that they don't ask questions and feel relaxed to come and talk to me. Besides, I ask them to call me by my first name. This immediately creates great chemistry and a relationship of trust, on an equal footing, which is very important. The student feels reassured, and a reassured and happy student is a student who masters things faster and better.
